With over 23 years of experience and more than 3,500 transactions managed, I bring a valuation-first approach to real estate that most agents simply don’t have.

Before founding Iron Star Realty, I was a certified appraiser in multiple states and managed regional real estate appraisal groups across the DFW area. This background allows me to price homes accurately, negotiate from data, and advocate effectively for homeowners — whether selling, buying, or fighting unfair property tax assessments.

Real estate isn’t just a job for me; it’s a lifelong discipline. From growing up in a real estate family to managing complex appraisals, every step of my journey has prepared me to protect your interests today.



1985 — Foundation in Real Estate

Our family’s real estate roots began when my mother earned her real estate license, laying the foundation for decades of market knowledge, client service, and hands-on experience.



1995 — Early to Real Estate Exposure

From an early age, I worked behind the scenes assisting my mom’s real estate team — learning contracts, transactions, and the realities of client service long before becoming licensed myself.



2002 — Advanced Market Insight

During this period, I managed appraisal operations and teams, gaining experience in valuation at scale — a background that directly benefits buyers, sellers, and tax protest clients today.



2008 — Licensed Real Estate Agent

I obtained my real estate sales license and formally transitioned into sales, bringing valuation expertise, negotiation skills, and market analysis into every transaction.



2016 — Iron Star Realty Established

Iron Star Realty was formally established to reflect what had already been years in the making — an independent, client-first real estate business built on experience, transparency, and results.

Mary Ann Byrns — Founder Emeritus

Mary Ann Byrns has a distinguished career spanning more than 40 years in North Texas real estate. Known for her exceptional communication, negotiation skills, and client advocacy, Mary Ann built her reputation by consistently delivering results while mentoring others in the industry.

Throughout her career, she earned numerous professional designations and industry honors, served in leadership and teaching roles, and was recognized by her peers for excellence. Mary Ann embraced education and evolving technology long before it was standard practice — always believing that knowledge is the foundation of great service.

Now retired from active brokerage, Mary Ann remains the heart of Iron Star Realty’s values and legacy. Her influence continues to shape how we serve clients today.

Kelsey is a dynamic professional who recently transitioned from a successful corporate career spanning nearly two decades into the fast-paced world of real estate. With a wealth of experience in strategic planning, negotiations, and high-level project management, she brings a fresh perspective and a strong work ethic to the real estate industry.
-Her passion for real estate was ignited through her personal journey of sales and building investments to obtain long-term financial freedom. Now, she is dedicated to helping clients achieve their real estate goals.
-After graduating from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Kelsey traveled extensively across North America and Europe, gaining experience in various markets.
-Kelsey is incredibly excited to join Iron Star Realty and work alongside who she considers “the best in the biz”, Tim Byrns.
